The Mainz Youth Hostel has 166 beds in rooms for 1, 2 and 4 people and multi-bed occupancy. All rooms are equipped with shower/toilet.

The host in the state capital! The modern Rhein-Main Youth Hostel Mainz is located directly on the grounds of the "Mainzer Volkspark", which offers many leisure activities for all ages. History, modernity and Mainz cheerfulness characterize the image of the state capital of the Rhineland-Palatinate, so that visitors feel right at home.

The youth hostel has 5 lounges and event rooms of various sizes for 15 to 105 people, 3 rooms can be combined for up to 234 people.

  • There is a parking space for people with disabilities.
  • The Am Volkspark bus stop is 400 meters away.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are step-free/at ground level or accessible via a ramp or elevator.
  • The connecting path between the main and side areas has a maximum longitudinal slope of 40%.
  • All doors/passageways that can be used by guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 75 cm high.
  • There are two accessible rooms available.
  • The toilet in the room is accessible from one side (at least 80 cm). There is a foldable grab rail on the accessible side of the toilet.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible and the mirror is visible while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without a threshold. A grab rail and a shower chair are available.
  • The dining room has tables that are max. 80 cm high and wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from one side (at least 80 cm). There is a folding grab rail on the accessible side of the toilet.

  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the restaurant and in the bistro there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).
  • In the rooms there is no electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • WiFi is offered.
