Talaue erleben ohne Barrieren

Remsterassen (Kai Koepf)

Walking and hiking pleasure between nature and culture

The low-barrier walking and hiking trail leads comfortably through the Talaue landscape park - Waiblingen's popular recreational area close to the city centre - and those who wish can extend the trail to the historic old town (note: the old town is only partially barrier-free).

The Talaue is a green jewel in the middle of the city: large and small alder islands, the Remsterrassen directly on the water, cosy resting places by the river and the idyllic lakeside square invite you to linger. Here you can enjoy nature to the full - whether on a walk, on a bench with a view of the water or during a short picnic break.

A special highlight is the Kunstlichtung: an inspiring place is created in the midst of silver willows, whose design is reminiscent of the shape of the Stihl Waiblingen gallery.

The nearby old town boasts impressive half-timbered houses, art on the banks of the Rems river and charming alleyways that breathe history and have a lively atmosphere at the same time.

Whether enjoying nature, cultural inspiration or a relaxed stroll through the town - this route combines everything in a pleasant way.
