The Vöhl-Herzhausen National Park railway station is located in the National Park municipality of Vöhl and in the Edersee adventure and holiday region. It was newly built and put into operation in September 2015 as part of the reactivation of the Korbach - Frankenberg (Eder) line section. The operator of the Vöhl-Herzhausen national park station is DB RegioNetz Infrastruktur GmbH, Kurhessenbahn, based in Kassel. The Vöhl-Herzhausen national park station is located on the RB/ RE 97 line between the university city of Marburg, the Hanseatic city of Korbach and Brilon Stadt in the eastern Sauerland region. It offers optimal train connections to/from the Ruhr and Rhine-Main areas. Online timetable information with destination Vöhl-Herzhausen is available on our homepage. Situated directly at the Vöhl-Herzhausen National Park railway station, the central bus station provides connections by bus or shared taxi to reach excursion destinations such as the barrier wall, the Aquapark or the Waldeck lido. The National Park Centre is approx. 1.3 km on foot from the Vöhl-Herzhausen National Park railway station, but can also be reached by bus.
