Bathing lake "Schlicht"

Bathing lake "Schlicht" (Julia Marmulla)

 Neuhofen/Pfalz - 2 barrier-free bathing lakes

Neuhofen in the Palatinate is home to the two nationally renowned bathing areas "Badeweiher Steinerne Brücke" and "Badegebiet Schlicht". Neuhofen is 9 km from Speyer and is a welcome destination for tourists from Speyer or the Palatinate who are looking to cool off in the bathing lakes on hot summer days. From Speyer, you can reach both bathing areas by car via the four-lane B9 within 10 minutes.

The "Steinerne Brücke" bathing area is not far from the "Neuhofen/Limburgerhof" exit and there are parking spaces available right by the lake. There is a barrier-free water playground here.

Two larger parking lots are available in the "Schlicht" bathing area. One parking lot (forest parking lot) is closer to the sunbathing lawn and approx. 200m from the beach. A barrier-free path leads from the parking lot to the beach. The parking spaces in the "Schlicht" bathing area are subject to a charge and there is currently a parking fee of EUR 4 per day.

If you are traveling by S-Bahn, please use the Limburgerhof S-Bahn station. There are regular buses from Limburgerhof to Neuhofen, which is 1 km away.

Entry to both bathing lakes is free and the lakes are accessible all year round. The restaurants and kiosks at both bathing areas are open from May to September.

Both bathing areas are barrier-free. In addition to barrier-free toilets on the bathing beach, there are two bathing jetties with railings that run into the water for barrier-free bathing, allowing safe access to both lakes. The paths at both bathing lakes are barrier-free. The circular path around the "Steinerne Brücke" bathing pond is approx. 800 meters long. There is a shorter circular path as a loop at the sunbathing lawn in the "Schlicht" bathing area. There are plenty of places to sit and relax.

There are restaurants at both bathing areas.
The water quality is regularly monitored and published on the Internet.

The DLRG has a DLRG station at each bathing lake where a swimming wheelchair can be borrowed!

We hope you enjoy swimming in Neuhofen!
