(Sauerland Museum)
The Sauerland Museum is the cultural history museum of the Hochsauerland district for the history of South Westphalia.
As a museum and cultural forum, it fulfils the task of enriching cultural life in the Sauerland region with attractive exhibitions and events in award-winning architecture.
In the historic Landsberger Hof, the Sauerland Museum's permanent exhibition tells the story of our region from its beginnings in the Stone Age through the Duchy of Westphalia to the present day. The new building offers space for contemporary special exhibitions on art and culture.
The new building is completely accessible, the permanent exhibition in the Landsberger Hof is partly accessible. With a few exceptions, all rooms are accessible by wheelchair.
A comfortable wheelchair can be borrowed against a deposit at our reception.
The audio guide for the permanent exhibition allows guided tours for the blind and visually impaired, in German sign language and in easy-to-understand language.
