Experience native wild animals up close, fascinating views of Lake Edersee and a bird of prey flight show in incomparable surroundings. The 53-hectare Wildlife Park is part of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. There you will meet animal species such as wolf, lynx and bison in large enclosures. Red deer, fallow deer and mouflon even move completely freely in the WildtierPark. 

E-scooters for physically impaired people can be rented for a deposit for a tour of the WildtierPark Edersee.

  • There are three marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The bus stop „Wildpark“ is 40 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The cash desk is at its lowest point 92 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • There are ten wheelchair accessible tables available in the restaurant „Bericher Hütte“ (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • Guided tours for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users are offered on request. A reservation in advance is necessary.
  • Mobile or fixed seats are available for people with walking disabilities, which may be used during the guided tour.
  • The entire route of the guided tour is steplessly variable for wheelchair users.

  • The animals are predominately visible when seated.

  • The roundtrail is 3 km long.
  • The path is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 12 % over a distance of 20 m.
  • Seating is available.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    right of the toilet at least 103 cm x 55 cm, no manoeuvring space on the right.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.
