Tagungswerk

The only reminder of a church at the Tagungswerk today is the bell tower in the inner courtyard. The conference location in Berlin-Kreuzberg near Checkpoint Charlie is simple elegant. With a large, divisible hall and 5 seminar rooms on several floors, as well as a large roof terrace, the location offers space for around 300 people. By the way, in the conference work the name program, because the location is perfect for congresses and conferences.

  • There is a designated parking space for people with disabilities in the courtyard, entrance on Markgrafenstr.

  • The entrance is step-free.
  • All rooms and facilities that are accessible to guests are step-free/at ground level or accessible via a ramp or elevator.
  • There are no slopes with a gradient of more than 7%.
  • All doors/passages and paths that are accessible to guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The reception and catering counters are 72 cm and 99 cm high, respectively.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from at least one side (at least 90 cm). There are flip-up grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.

  • In the event of an audible alarm, a visually perceptible flash signal is only emitted in the room; in all other areas it is not.
  • In the elevator, an emergency call is confirmed audibly. Alternatively, stairs are available.
  • No audio induction loop is available.

  • Assistance dogs may be brought along.
  • The entrance is visually contrasting to the surroundings and is recognizable by a tactilely perceptible change of flooring.
  • There are glass doors without security markings.
  • All evaluated and for the guest usable areas are well, i.e. brightly, and glare-free illuminated.
  • In the elevator, confirmation of an emergency call is audible. 
  • Alternatively, the stairwell can be used. Stairs have a handrail on one side. Stair treads are not visually contrasting. 
  • Signage in rooms is designed in legible, high-contrast lettering.
  • There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing.
