The tourist office is located in the entrance area of the World Heritage Portal and is the first point of contact for visitors and guests. The staff will be happy to help you find suitable accommodation and give you tips for planning your vacation. You can also get tickets for events in and around Varel-Dangast here. The small store "Watt'nSchnickSchnack" offers a selection of maps, reading material, products from the region and much more.

  • There are four designated parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • The parking lot is easily accessible on foot and by car.
  • The Dangast bus stop, located on the beach, is 170 meters away.
  • The building is accessible without steps via a ramp.
  • The ramp has a maximum slope of 6% and a total length of 70 meters (with intermediate landings).
  • All guest-accessible rooms and facilities on the ground floor are accessible via an elevator.
  • All guest-accessible doors and passageways on the ground floor are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The counter is 90 cm high at its lowest point. An alternative, equivalent means of communication while seated is available.
  • There are two public restrooms for people with disabilities, both of which are accessible from either side (minimum 80 cm). Fold-down grab bars are available to the left and right of the toilet.   
  • Guided tours are offered for people with mobility impairments and wheelchair users. Advance registration is required.
