Atlantic Hotel "am Flötenkiel"
Discover an interesting concept that is unique for the hotel landscape in Bremerhaven.
Our philosophy is an individually managed house in the 3-star range with a modern ambience and its own character.
From our convenient location in Bremerhaven, all the sights of our seaside city are within easy reach. Relax while travelling; 84 rooms, which were completely renovated in April 2015, are available to our guests. Our team provides single, double and family rooms; guests choose individually between smoking and non-smoking rooms.
With a successful mix of modern ambience and friendly service at a small price, we also provide a priceless "at home" feeling when travelling.
Barrier-free information
All test relevant areas meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility tested - partially barrier-free for people with walking disabilities".
Some information on accessibility are listed below. Detailed information can be found in the test report.
- There are two parking spaces available for people with disabilities.
- The bus stop “Flötenkiel” is 120 meters away.
- All rooms that can be used by guests are accessible at ground level or via an elevator.
- All raised passages/doors are at least 80 cm wide. Exceptions: The door to the sanitary room room 206 (standard room) is 61 cm wide.
- The reception desk is 117 cm high. There is another, equivalent means of communication while seated.
- One barrier-free double room is available.
- The WC in the room can be accessed from at least one side. There are folding grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
- The washbasin has limited access.
- The mirror cannot be seen from a seated position.
- Access to the shower is barrier-free. A grab rail and a shower chair are available.
- The dining room/breakfast room has tables that are max. 80 cm high, 67 cm high and 30 cm deep with wheelchair access.
- There is a public WC for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from one side (at least 90 cm). There are folding grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.

- There is no audio induction loop.
- In the event of an audible alarm, no visually perceptible flashing light or flashing signal appears in public areas such as reception area, restaurant, etc.
- An emergency call is confirmed acoustically in the elevator. Alternatively, stairs are available.
- In the dining room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, where there are no lamps that restrict the field of vision.
- In the rooms there is at least one freely available outlet near the bed. Knocking at room doors is not indicated by a flashing signal.
- Free WiFi access is available.

- Assistance dogs are allowed.
- The main entrance is visually rich in contrast, but cannot be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering.
- The evaluated areas that can be used by the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
- Steps have no contrasting edges.
- An emergency call is confirmed acoustically in the elevator. The stopping position is not announced by speech. The operating elements are not visually rich in contrast and cannot be detected tactilely.
- There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing.
