You will find peace & serenity at the foot of the famous river in the idyllic village of Wesenufer.

The hotel is located in the romantic Upper Austrian Danube valley - close to the famous "Schlögener Schlinge" between Passau (37km) and Linz (45 km) - directly on the Danube - surrounded by timeless natural beauty. We attach particular importance to sustainability, which is why the hotel was the first hotel in Upper Austria to be awarded the EU Ecolabel in 2018, in addition to the Austrian Environmental Seal, and we pay attention to regional purchasing and the sensible use of food.

Facilities: The modern seminar hotel is classified with 5 flipcharts and also offers a cosy ambience for individual guests, such as the stylish castle restaurant with regional and seasonal specialities, the Danube terrace, castle garden for relaxing, as well as a wellness area with sauna, infrared cabin, hydrojet massage bed and high-quality fitness equipment.

Holiday & leisure - experience the diversity of the Danube: The attractive location - directly on the Danube Cycle Path and Danube Trail - offers a wide range of leisure activities. The boat landing stage is directly in front of the hotel. 

Social work: The sponsor of this hotel is pro mente Upper Austria with the aim of creating jobs for mentally disadvantaged and impaired people. It is the first hotel in Austria to offer active social work integrated into a high level of service.

  • There are five marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 345 cm x 500 cm).
  • The paths from the parking lot to the main and side entrances are a maximum of 50 m long. They are easy to walk and drive on and have a maximum longitudinal gradient of 4%.
  • There is a bus stop and a landing stage nearby.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are steplessly accessible via elevators or a ramp. Exception: The wellness area is only accessible via five steps.
  • The elevator cabins are at least 108 cm x 139 cm in size.
  • The ramp to the minimarket has a maximum gradient of 8% and a total length of 7 m.
  • All doors/passages that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 81 cm wide. Exceptions: The door to the breakfast room is 76 cm wide (breakfast is also possible in the castle restaurant). Some of the doors in the wellness area are between 80 cm and 75 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 115 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication option while seated.
  • The castle restaurant and breakfast room have wheelchair accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • Aids available: height-adjustable care bed (from external service provider)

Room 3 (double room, first floor)

  • There is another identical room (room 103, on the 1st floor).
  • The height of the door threshold is 3 cm.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 150 cm x 110 cm;
    to the left of the bed 120 cm x 275 cm; to the right of the bed 65 cm x 275 cm.
  • The bed is 52 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the washbasin 170 cm x 190 cm; in front of the WC 215 cm x 125 cm;
    to the left of the WC 78 cm x 70 cm; to the right of the WC 100 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower has no threshold and measures 110 cm x 120 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are grab rails in the shower.
  • An alarm release is available.

Room 305 (double room, 3rd floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 135 cm x 109 cm;
    to the left of the bed 100 cm x 165 cm; to the right of the bed 115 cm x 165 cm.
  • The bed is 50 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the washbasin 134 cm x 180 cm; in front of the WC 150 cm x 148 cm;
    to the left of the WC 35 cm x 70 cm; to the right of the WC 88 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC. The grab rails on the right can be flipped-up.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is stepless and measures 89 cm x 89 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are grab rails in the shower.

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 158 cm x 125 cm; in front of the WC 156 cm x 162 cm;
    to the left of the WC 95 cm x 100 cm; to the right of the WC 30 cm x 68 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC. The grab rails to the left of the toilet can be flipped-up.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access.
  • The mirror can be seen when standing and sitting.

Public WC for people with disabilities (castle restaurant)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 120 cm x 110 cm; in front of the WC 100 cm x 60 cm;

  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails to the left of the toilet can be flipped-up.

  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevators is confirmed acoustically.
  • In the castle restaurant and breakfast room, there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, with no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is a seating area with low ambient noise (e.g. sitting area, separate room).
  • In rooms 3, 103 and 305 (double rooms) there is at least one freely available socket near the bed.
  • Wi-Fi is offered.

  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevators is confirmed acoustically. The stop position is not announced by voice. The operating elements are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
  • Alternatively, stairs are available.
  • Stairs have visually contrasting edges on at least the first and last step. Stairs have a handrail on at least one side.
  • The menu font in the castle restaurant is designed in an uncluttered and high-contrast font. There is a menu in large print, but none in Braille.
