All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities". 

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report. 

  • There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • All rooms and facilities available to guests and included in the survey are either step-free/at ground level or accessible via an elevator. The elevator was out of order at the time of the survey.
  • There is no gradient of more than 6%.
  • All doors, passageways, and pathways available to guests and included in the survey are at least 75 cm wide.
  • The service counter is 110 cm high; there is an alternative way to communicate while seated.
  • Exhibits and information are primarily viewable while seated. 
  • Outdoor pathways are generally easy to walk and drive on. 
  • A public restroom for people with disabilities is available, which is accessible from the right (at least 90 cm). A flip-up grab bar is provided at least on the accessible side of the restroom.

  • The entrance area is designed with high visual contrast.
  • The signage (for wayfinding) is designed with easy-to-read, high-contrast lettering.
  • All elevated areas accessible to visitors are illuminated with bright, glare-free lighting.
  • Stair treads do not have high-contrast edges. Stairs have handrails on both sides. 
  • Information about the exhibits is presented with high visual contrast.
  • Information is not available in raised lettering or Braille.
