Restaurant & Guesthouse "Gartenhaus" Pansfelde (Manuela Fischer)

Welcome to the historic garden house, the former nursery of Falkenstein Castle. We offer our guests regional Harz cuisine and comfortable pension rooms accessible by stairs. When the weather is nice, we also serve on the terrace in front of the house, which is accessible without steps. In front of the house is the stop of the Bimmelbahn to Falkenstein Castle.

Restaurant

  • The restaurant is steplessly accessible.
  • All other rooms and facilities in the restaurant that can be used by guests and are raised are accessible at ground level.
  • All doors/passages that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 80 cm wide. 
  • Tables are max. 80 cm high and wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities that can be accessed from at least one side (at least 80 cm). 
  • There is a folding grab rail at least on the accessible side of the toilet. 

Boarding house

  • The rooms in the guesthouse are only accessible via stairs. 
  • All doors/passages in the guesthouse that can be used by the guest and are raised are at least 70 cm wide. 
  • One double or multi-bed room is available.
  • The bathroom is not designed for people with disabilities (very small manoeuvring spaces, no grab rails etc.).

  • There is no clearly visible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • There are tables in the restaurant with bright and glare-free lighting, with no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • Room 3 (double room 1st floor, accessible via stairs) has at least one freely available socket near the bed.
  • Wi-Fi is offered.

  • Assistance dogs may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms.
  • The entrances are visually rich in contrast.
  • The elevated areas that can be used by guests are predominantly well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • Stair treads are not visually rich in contrast. Stairs have at least a handrail on one side.
  • The menu font in the restaurant is not designed in an uncluttered and high-contrast font.
  • There is a menu in large print.
