Wolkenhain in the Kienbergpark

Wolkenhain in the Kienbergpark (Rolf Schrader)

The Wolkenhain is the architectural highlight of the Kienbergpark. On the top of the Kienberg, it was the landmark of the IGA 2017. Since the end of the garden exhibition, the approx. 120 meter high observation tower is freely available to all residents and visitors. The construction consists of approximately 170 steel nodes and a translucent membrane. This is intended to make the cloud grove appear light, transparent and changeable. At dusk and on special occasions, the structure is illuminated. It can be accessed by cable car or on foot. In clear weather, the visibility is up to 50 kilometers.
