A hike on the barrier-free Thalasso spa trail in the seaside resort of Warnemünde is at the same time an invitation to actively and consciously immerse yourself in the beneficial atmosphere of the Baltic Sea climate. Give yourself time and discover the beauty of nature and the beneficial effects of the sea air and the forest in the spa gardens in Warnemünde. Exercise by the sea along the pier and the influence of the sea climate have a particularly beneficial effect on our organism and contribute to recovery.

The 3 km long walk starts in the spa park, where the information board also marks the start and end points of the walk. You walk towards the promenade, then along the promenade towards Teepott and continue towards Alter Strom to the pier. Walk along the pier to the lighthouse and the same way back in a relaxed way. Enjoy the view of the Baltic Sea and the vastness of the sea. The mild stimulating climate offers ideal conditions for a healthy and health-promoting stay.

  • There are four parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • The hiking trail is 3 km long (there and back). It starts in the Kurpark and ends at Molenkopf. 
  • The hiking trail is 160 cm wide throughout. 
  • The hiking trail is stepless and easy to walk and drive on.
  • The maximum longitudinal gradient is 3%. 
  • The promenade can be reached via a ramp or seven steps.
  • The clear width next to obstacles/frame barriers/barriers is at least 70 cm. 
  • The hiking trail is car-free or almost car-free. 
  • The trail runs partly on a road used by motor vehicles (30 km/h zone, play road or forest and scenic paths).
  • There are seating areas at regular intervals.
  • The trail is clearly, uniformly and continuously signposted.
  • There are several barrier-free WCs that are accessible to the public and can be reached without steps at a maximum distance of 250 m from the hiking trail. 
  • Please be aware of the weather conditions when entering the pier. In strong winds and storms, the breakwater can be washed over by the waves, especially in the last section. Furthermore, it is not cleared and gritted in icy and snowy conditions.

  • There is a parking lot at least at the entrance/exit of the hiking trail (at a maximum distance of 250 m from the hiking trail).
  • The hiking trail is car-free or almost car-free (30 km/h zones, traffic-calmed zones).
  • There are no danger spots.
  • If it is necessary to cross a road used by cars, this is secured accordingly, e.g. by traffic lights, crosswalk, island in the middle of the road, speed reduction.
  • The promenade can be reached via a ramp or seven steps. Handrails are provided. The steps have visually contrasting edges at least on the first and last step.
