"Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus" (Guido Bonewitz-Raband)

The Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus – known as D’haus for short – is the largest spoken theater in North Rhine-Westphalia and is one of the largest stages in the German-speaking region. The D’haus Schauspiel program includes Young Drama and the Stadt:Kollektiv.
With its productions and its various events, the D’haus addresses the entire urban society in its diversity. The main venue is the Schauspielhaus on Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz. The curved white building by architect Bernhard Pfau is an iconic landmark of Düsseldorf.

  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are accessible without steps/at ground level or via a ramp or elevator. 
  • All doors/passages that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The counter/cash desk is no more than 80 cm high or there is an alternative way of communicating while seated.
  • Seating is available.
  • Separate parking spaces for wheelchair users are available by prior arrangement. 
  • There are three public WCs for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from at least one side (at least 80 cm). There are folding grab rails on the left and right.
