"RömerWelt" at the Caput Limitis

"RömerWelt" at the Caput Limitis (Florian-Trykowski)

Conveniently located at the foot of the Westerwald, the museum offers the whole family interesting insights into the life of the people at the Limes 2000 years ago. A special feature here is the approach to imparting knowledge, which relies primarily on interaction and trial and error.

The attractive outdoor area offers further varied stations. On a tour past the herb garden, guests discover technical replicas of the Romans as well as a functioning bakehouse, a blacksmith's and stonemason's hut, and a soldier's quarters. A playground also awaits the younger visitors, while the beautiful picnic area invites them to linger.

Theme days and action programs make the visit to the museum even more interesting. Then breads are baked, ancient crafts are demonstrated and topics from the Roman times are brought to the fore. Vacation activities such as historical archery, guided tours for families and handicrafts are also on the program.
