"DASBREITEHOTEL" (DasBreiteHotel)

DASBREITEHOTEL - quite beautifully different.

Quite beautiful. Architecture worth seeing, clear design, functional and contemporary furnishings. DASBREITEHOTEL is officially classified as a Design & Lifestyle Hotel by hotelleriesuisse.

Quite different. DASBREITEHOTEL is an integration hotel. In the restaurant and housekeeping 35 people with a disability pension find an accompanied work or training place.

Beautifully different. There is a personal atmosphere here. DASBREITEHOTEL surprises its guests with a particularly attentive service and a dedicated and warm hospitality.

The 36 rooms (32 of them barrier-free) impress with their modern and simple design. The clean lines and restrained shapes, in combination with the colorful accents and the warm brown of the wooden floor, give the rooms a calm and harmonious atmosphere. The rooms are larger than average, and their furnishings are contemporary and practical.

The generous breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. It offers more than it takes for a good start to the day. Fine baked goods, fresh fruit or, on request, a freshly prepared fried egg are just as much a part of it as coffees or teas in different variations. For the small "Gluscht" in between, 24h fruits and cakes are available in addition to coffee, tea and iced tea free of charge.

Our 40" televisions entertain with more than a hundred international channels. The direct Internet access (SmartTV) opens up thousands of other services and the vastness of the World Wide Web. The synchronous Hispeed Wi-Fi can be received throughout the hotel without interruption and free of charge.

DASBREITEHOTEL is located on the southern bank of the Rhine in the Breite quarter. The hotel is easily accessible, whether by car (highway exit "Breite", in-house parking) or by public transport (bus and streetcar stop "Breite"). Our guests receive the Baselcard, which entitles them to use public transport free of charge. This allows you to reach the train stations and the airport, the historic old town and the trade fair in just a few minutes.  You also get a reduction on various leisure facilities with the Baselcard.

Basel is worth a trip. The art metropolis is also the cultural capital of Switzerland and an architectural mecca. Not only the well-preserved medieval old town with its very old university tradition attracts countless visitors to the Rhine bend at the border triangle every year, but also the modern buildings by internationally renowned architects such as Mario Botta and Basel's own Herzog & de Meuron. Basel owes its reputation as a cultural capital not least to the world's highest density of museums and five museums of absolute world fame. For example, the Tinguely Museum, located just across the street from the hotel on the other bank of the Rhine.
