Museum of local history & glass

The production and processing of glass has significantly characterised the town of Stützerbach. In its early days, the then young industry underwent remarkable development. Numerous inventions made their way into the world from here. The first X-ray tube was developed and tested here for the first time, as were the first light bulb, the first thermometer and the first thermos flask. ‘How did they do it, how did they live back then?’ Questions to which the small museum can provide answers. There are exciting short films and explanations on the subject of glass. With a new app, the glass master ‘Greiner’ guides you through his museum. If you think a museum of local history is just ‘dusty and boring’, come along and try it out!
