The Schiller Museum with Schiller's residence in the pedestrian zone of Weimar consists of the historic residence and the new building Schiller Museum with store, box office and film screening room. Special exhibitions are shown on two levels in the new building.
Barrier-free information

- There are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities in Schützengasse.
- The path from the parking lot to the entrance is 150 m long.
- The path to the entrance via the pedestrian zone has maximum longitudinal slopes of up to 6%.
- Nearby is the bus stop Goetheplatz.
- There are no guided tours for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users.
- There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from one side (70 cm). There is a foldable grab rail on the accessible side of the toilet.
Schiller Museum
- The building is accessible without steps.
- All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for guests are accessible without steps or via an elevator.
- The elevator car is 99 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 90 cm wide. The ticket office staff will be happy to assist you.
- All doors/passages that can be used by guests and are elevated are at least 80 cm wide.
- The cash desk is 95 cm high.
Historic residential building
- The building is not accessible without steps.
- The servants' quarters on the first floor of the historic building are accessible by wheelchair in summer via the Schillerstrasse entrance and only by special request on site at the ticket office.
- The exhibition rooms are accessible by stairs only.
