As a service water reservoir, the Brucher Dam is also available for water sports, camping and recreational use. This includes four designated bathing spots. One bathing area has been designed to be accessible.

 All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and  for wheelchair users".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There are two parking spaces available for people with disabilities.
  • The Marienheide Stülinghausen bus stop is located nearby.
  • All rooms and facilities available to guests are either step-free/at ground level or accessible via a ramp.
  • The outdoor paths are at least 200 cm wide and are generally easy to walk and drive on.
  • They have a maximum longitudinal slope of up to 6%.
  • At the swimming area, you can enter the water step-free via a ramp.
  • The ramp has a gradient of 10% over a length of 10 m and handrails on both sides.
  • Seating is available.
  • There is a public restroom for people with disabilities that is accessible from both sides (at least 90 cm). The grab bars in the restroom can be flipped-up.

  • In 800 m Entfernung zum Ausgangspunkt des Wanderwegs befindet sich oben an der Straße die nächste Bushaltestelle. 
  • Der Wanderweg hat eine Gesamtlänge von 3,3 km, es handelt sich um einen Rundweg. 
  • Es sind Sitzgelegenheiten vorhanden.
  • Der Weg ist nicht durchgehend ausgeschildert.
  • Der Wanderweg ist autofrei.  
  • Informationstafeln werden schriftlich vermittelt, jedoch nicht nicht in Leichter Sprache.
  • Es ist ein Unisex-WC vorhanden.
