Youth hostel Sprötze (Guido Frank)

The Sprötze youth hostel is located approx. 50 km south of Hamburg in Sprötze (Buchholz in der Nordheide). It is located directly next to the Nordheide nature reserve on the Brunsberg.  Our youth hostel has 180,000 m² of outdoor space with a grassed sports field, volleyball court and various climbing and play equipment. 

Here you will find the ideal ambience for school trips, camps, work conferences or relaxation. With its beautiful location surrounded by greenery at the foot of the Brunsberg, our house is also an ideal starting point for hiking. In addition, there is an approx. 7ha large natural forest. Ideal for outdoor activities.

  • All doors/passages and paths that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 70 cm wide.
  • The movement areas are at least 120 x 120 cm. 
  • At least one double or multi-bed room is available.
  • The WC in the room can be accessed from one side (at least 80 cm). 
  • There is a folding grab rail at least on the accessible side of the toilet. 
  • The washbasin can be driven under and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There are tables that are max. 80 cm high and can be driven under at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities that can be accessed from at least one side (at least 80 cm). 
  • There is a folding grab rail at least on the accessible side of the toilet.
