Youth Hostel Bernburg (Saale)

The youth hostel of the town of Bernburg (Saale) is located in a quiet area in the middle of the Krumbholz recreation area and not far from the Saale. Only a few minutes' walk from the old town, our hostel with its many sports and leisure facilities is the ideal starting point for exploring the Saale town of Bernburg and its surroundings.

  • There is a general car park. There is a marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The 100 m long path from the car park to the entrance is easy to walk and drive on due to the surface quality.
  • The main entrance to the reception is accessible without steps or thresholds.
  • The reception counter is 120 cm high. There is an equivalent possibility of communication while sitting.
  • The evaluated rooms usable by the guest are accessible at ground level.
  • Doors are at least 80 cm wide. There are no revolving or rotating doors.
  • There are no wheelchair compatible tables in the dining room.

Room 9 (double bedroom) with washbasin

  • The manoeuvring space in the bedroom is 107 cm x 200 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings and to the left of the bed, to the right the bed stands next to the wall.
  • The bed is 45 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring space in front of the washbasin is 100 cm x 110 cm. The washbasin has limited wheelchair access and the mirror cannot be seen while sitting.

Room 10 (multi-bedroom)

  • The manoeuvring space in the bedroom is 150 cm x 150 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings, 160 cm x 200 cm to the left of the bed, to the right the bed stands next to the wall.
  • The bed is 40 cm high.

Shower area for men with toilet for room 9 and 10 (across the hall)

  • The door is 80 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring space at the door is 200 cm x 107 cm.
  • The shower area at ground level is 100 cm x 110 cm. A shower chair and grab handles are not available.
  • There is no toilet designed for people with disabilities.

Public toilet for people with disabilities with shower area

  • The manoeuvring spaces in the toilet are as follows:
    • at the door 125 cm x 200 cm;
    • in front of the toilet and the washbasin 150 cm x 150 cm;
    • left of the toilet 90 cm x 58 cm, the toilet is not accessible from the right.
  • Handles are provided on both sides of the toilet. The left handle can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower area at ground level is 150 cm x 150 cm. A shower chair and horizontal grab handles are available.
