Winery and Sleeping Estate "Domhof"

Sleeping Estate and Winery "Domhof" (Achim Katzberg)

The Schlafgut Domhof ***Superior opposite the winery was awarded the BEST OF WINE TOURISM AWARD by the Great Wine Capitals in 2018. Our guests can choose from 12 stylish, modern double rooms including one barrier-free room. A further 10 double rooms with modern bathrooms renovated in January 2025 and two bright, spacious vacation apartments at the Weingold restaurant complete our range of accommodation. Here, classic furnishings, rural charm and modern elements are combined with a pleasant feel-good atmosphere.

The winery, which has been family-owned since 1874, has a very interesting past. In the years before that, the Domhof belonged to Worms Cathedral Abbey. The large tithe barn in the courtyard, which is now used as a bottle store, still stands.

Since 2004, Alexander Baumann has been running the Domhof as a winery in the fourth generation. The emblem of the Domhof is St. Peter, carved in stone in 1754, which you will also find on the labels of all the wine bottles.
