The Aparthotel Adagio Frankfurt City Messe features 172 apartments on several floors of the WestendGate Tower right across from Frankfurt’s trade fair. The tower is part of the city’s skyline and one of its landmarks. From here the apartments offer a spectacular view on either the city’s skyline or the green heights and hills of nearby Taunus forest. Frankfurt’s inner city and the main station are easily accessible on foot or via a tram line that stops right in front of the aparthotel’s entrance.

Its pricing model makes stays of four or more nights an especially interesting value proposition. Wi-Fi is complimentary as is use of the hotel’s gym and guests can choose from a variety of services such as the laundry service or the daily breakfast that will be charged to their room individually.

  • There are two parking spaces available for people with disabilities.

  • All rooms and facilities available to guests are either at ground level or accessible via a ramp or elevator. 
  • There are no slopes steeper than 6%.
  • All doors, passageways, and pathways available to guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 110 cm high. An alternative, equivalent means of communication while seated is available. 
  • There are ten accessible rooms.
  • The toilet in the room is accessible from one side (at least 80 cm). Fold-down grab bars are available to the left and right of the toilet.  
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible, and the mirror is visible even while seated.
  • Access to the shower is threshold-free. A grab bar and a shower chair are provided.
  • The counter/work surface, sink, and stove are not wheelchair compatible. 
  • The breakfast room has tables that are max. 80 cm high and wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • A fitness room is available. This was noted but not included in the evaluation.
  • A public restroom for people with disabilities is available, which is accessible from both sides (at least 80 cm). Foldable grab bars are available to the left and right of the toilet.

  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the breakfast room/café there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).
  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • W-LAN is offered.
