Experience mudflat walks, bike tours, city tours, travel, nature, art, culture and culinary delights with National Park partners and certified National Park Guides in the UNESCO Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. Reliably experience the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park in small groups or exclusively at any time of the year. In the same building you will find the beach information, cash desk for beach chairs and camper pitches.

The Wadden Hiking Center East Frisia is at this location from mid-March to early October, in winter the store is located behind the dike at Gulfhof Friedrichsgroden - Friedrichsgroden 3, 26409 Carolinensiel. A barrier-free parking lot is available there.

  • Terminus of the K1 / 343 / Tidebus lines at the Harlesiel jetty stop, approx. 450 m from the East Frisia Wading Centre.
  • There are four parking spaces for people with disabilities. 
  • The entrance/access to the building is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold).
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps. Door thresholds are max. 2 cm high.
  • Exterior walkways are at least 400 cm wide.
  • Doors and passageways are at least 90 cm wide. 
  • The information counter is 86 cm high at the lowest point. 
  • The following aids are provided: Reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.), wading wheelchair , wading pushchair and transport tub.
  • Pre-registration for the guided tour is required. The entire route of the guided tour is step-free for wheelchair users. 
  • Mobile or fixed seating is available for people with walking disabilities to use during the guided tour
