Varusschlacht im Osnabrücker Land - Museum und Park Kalkriese

Exhibition building (Karl Johaentges)

In 2009, the exhibition on the Varus Battle was redesigned together with the architects hollenbeck.plato. The focus is on scientific research after 20 years of multidisciplinary research. Therefore, the new permanent exhibition is no longer about searching and finding, but about evaluating and explaining. But the protagonists of the time - Romans and Germanic tribes - and their different lifeworlds also come into the viewer's field of vision.
