Gästehaus Euken is located just a few minutes' walk from the North Sea. There are 14 cozy vacation apartments in various sizes for families or groups of up to 5 people. All apartments have a TV, bathroom with shower/WC and electric shutters. A sauna and fitness area are also available to guests.

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities partially accessible for wheelchair users".
Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.
- There are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (350 cm x 500 cm).
- Depending on the parking space and entrance chosen, the path from the car park to the entrance is up to 50 m long. It is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 2 % over a distance of 5 m.
- The building is steplessly accessible via a treshold of 1 cm.
- Almost all evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible.
- Exception: Apartment B13 is only accessible via a threshold of 1 cm height. In apartment B13 and B15 the terrace is accessible via a threshold of 1.5 cm height.
- All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 80 cm wide.
- The dining table both, apartments B13 und B15 is wheelchair compatible (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
- The kitchen counter, the sink and the stove in both, apartments B13 und B15 are wheelchair compatible.
- Offered aids: height adjustable bed (in-house).
Apartment B13
Room with ensuite Bedroom (double room, ground floor)
- The manoeuvring spaces are: in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 500 cm x 240 cm; left of the bed 70 cm x 180 cm; right of the bed 55 cm x 180 cm;
- The bed is 57 cm high.
- The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet as well as in front of the washbasin at least 145 cm x 150 cm; left of the toilet 27 cm x 54 cm and right of the toilet 110 cm x 30 cm. - There is a grab rail on the right side of the toilet. The grab rail can be flipped-up. If required, a further handle can be hooked in. The additional handles are mobile and can be flipped-up.
- The sink is wheelchair compatible.
- The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- The shower is accessible without thresholds.
- The manoeuvring space in the shower is 120 cm x 120 cm.
- A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
- There are grab rails available in the shower.
- An alarm trigger is not available.
Apartment B15
Bedroom 1 (double room, upper floor)
- The manoeuvring spaces are: in front of/behind the door, in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) as well as left of the bed are at least 150 cm x 150 cm, right of the bed 60 cm x 150 cm.
- There is a connecting door to another room available.
- The bed is 57 cm high.
- The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm; left of the toilet 78 cm x 54 cm and right of the toilet 104 cm x 54 cm. - There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails are mobile and can be flipped-up.
- The sink is wheelchair compatible.
- The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- The shower is accessible without thresholds.
- The manoeuvring space in the shower is 120 cm x 120 cm.
- A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
- There are grab rails available in the shower.
- An alarm trigger is not available.
Bedroom 2 (double room, ground floor)
- The manoeuvring spaces in front of/behind the door are at least 130 cm x 125 cm.
- There is a connecting door to another room available.
- The manoeuvring spaces are:
in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 180 cm x 76 cm; left of the bed 67 cm x 180 cm; right of the bed 76 cm x 180 cm; - The bed is 57 cm high.
- The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
in front of/behind the door 130 cm x 125 cm;
in front of the toilet as well as in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm; left of the toilet 150 cm x 30 cm and right of the toilet 27 cm x 54 cm. - There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the left of the toilet can be flipped-up. If required, a further grab rail can be hooked in. The additional grab rail are mobile and can be flipped-up.
- The sink is wheelchair compatible.
- The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- The shower is accessible without thresholds.
- The manoeuvring space in the shower is 120 cm x 120 cm.
- A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
- There are grab rails available in the shower.
