The GLOBUS Market Hall and Restaurant in Idar-Oberstein offer a wide range of services in addition to the shopping experience. The GLOBUS Restaurant in Idar-Oberstein is the third area—alongside the specialty butcher shop and master bakery—that is operated exclusively by GLOBUS employees.  

With the counter pre-order service, you can easily and conveniently pre-order your purchases from the butcher shop, bakery, fish counter, and cheese counter from home and pick them up at your GLOBUS Market Hall on your desired date. 

In addition, we offer the following online services:

  • There are five marked parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • The building is accessible without steps.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level or by "Rollgleite" (moving walkway) or goods elevator.
  • Rollator users and wheelchair users may only use the "Rollgleite" (moving walkway) with an escort. The store staff will be happy to assist.
  • Alternatively, the goods elevator may be used when accompanied by an employee. The elevator car is 300 cm x 400 cm.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 88 cm wide.
  • There are two cash desks for wheelchair users. They are 87 cm high, and the checkout passage is 125 cm wide.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables in the restaurant (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm). 
  • Available aids: rollator, shopping cart for wheelchair users.
  • There is a public restroom for people with disabilities that is accessible from both sides (at least 80 cm). There are fold-down grab bars on both the left and right sides of the restroom.

  • The alarm is clearly visible in the entire building/object.
  • In the restaurant there are no tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).
