  • There is a parking space for people with disabilities.
  • Almost all rooms and facilities that are accessible to guests are step-free/at ground level or accessible via a ramp, elevator, or lift. There are only steps in the north tower.
  • As the crypt and Obergruppenführersaal are difficult to access, there is an alternative virtual experience station for guests with limited mobility at the exit to the moat.
  • There are no slopes with a gradient of more than 6%.
  • All doors/passages and paths that are accessible to guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • Most exhibits and information can be viewed while seated.
  • Seating is available.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from both sides (90 cm). There are flip-up grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Guided tours are offered for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users. Advance booking is required.
  • Mobile or fixed seating is available for people with walking disabilities, which can be used during the tour.

  • The alarm is not clearly visible.
  • There is an audio induction loop system in the film room.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. Alternatively stairs are available.
  • The information on the exhibits is predominately provided in writing.
  • Information on the exhibits is displayed photo realistically.
  • Guided tours for people with hearing impairment and deaf people (in German sign language) are offered. A reservation in advance is necessary.
