The newly designed Schaumberg Youth Hostel Tholey is located at the foot of the Schaumberg in a quiet location and offers endless leisure opportunities in the immediate vicinity. Tholey is located in the St. Wendeler Land. The scenic and wooded surroundings belong to the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park with the most important elevation in the Saarland, the Schaumberg.

  • There is at least one parking space for people with disabilities.
  • The bus stop "Am Weiher, Tholey" is 100 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are accessible without steps/at ground level or via an elevator. 
  • Almost all doors/passages that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 80 cm wide. Exceptions: The doors in the public WC are 60 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 68 cm high at its lowest point.
  • At least one barrier-free double or multi-bed room is available.
  • The WC in these rooms can be accessed from one side (at least 90 cm). 
  • There is a folding grab rail at least on the accessible side of the toilet. The washbasin is wheelchair accessible. The mirror cannot be seen when seated.
  • There are tables in the dining room and bistro that are max. 80 cm high and can be driven under at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm.
  • There is no public WC, which is accessible via a maximum of one step and has a door width of at least 70 cm.

  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the dining room and in the bistro there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • In room 100 and 104 (multi-bed room) is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • WiFi is offered.
