Reading Room in the Cultural Island of Borkum

Centrally located in the middle of the city center is the Kulturinsel Borkum. In the back of the building is the reading room, where daily newspapers from all over Germany are provided free of charge for guests.

  • There are four parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests and are raised are accessible without steps/at ground level. 
  • All doors/passages and paths that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The counter is 102 cm high. There is no alternative way to communicate while seated.
  • Seating is available.
  • There is a public WC for people with disabilities that can be accessed from at least one side (at least 80 cm). There are folding grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
