  • There is a marked parking lot for people with disabilities (parking space size: 300 cm x 445 cm, distance to the entrance: 15 m). 
  • In 50 m distance there is the Darssbahn stop "Heimatmuseum". 
  • The path to the entrance is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 2%. 
  • The entrances to the Heimatmuseum and the Bioladen are accessible without steps (door threshold of 2 cm and 5 cm respectively).
  • The Café Alt Zingst is only accessible via two steps.
  • The raised rooms and facilities on the ground floor of the museum are accessible without steps, that upper floor is accessible only by stairs.
  • All elevated doors/passages that can be used by guests are at least 75 cm wide.
  • The outdoor paths in the museum courtyard are at least 160 cm wide and mostly easy to walk and drive on. 
  • Exhibits and exhibit information are predominantly visible and legible while seated. 
  • Tables in the café are accessible by wheelchair (maximum height 80 cm, accessible by wheelchair at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from one side (minimum 80 cm). There are folding grab rails on the left and right of the toilet.

  • The alarm is no clearly visually perceptible throughout the building.
  • There is no inductive hearing system.
  • Information about the exhibits is provided in writing. 
  • In the Café, there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, with no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.

  • The entrance to the local history museum is visually contrasting.
  • There are glass doors without security markings. 
  • All elevated areas that are usable by guests are well lit, i.e., bright and glare-free.
  • Signage is designed in legible, high-contrast lettering.
  • Stairs in the museum do not have visually contrasting edges. There is at least one handrail on one side. 
  • Stairs to the café do not have a visually contrasting design and do not have a handrail.
  • Exhibits are generally well lit. Exhibit information is primarily provided in writing and is visually contrasting.
  • Information is not available in raised print or Braille.
