Tourist information Karlshagen (Lena Ahlgrimm)

At the Karlshagen Tourist Information (or House of Guests) the municipality extends a warm welcome to its visitors. Here you can obtain information about various events or buy tickets and souvenirs. Events also take place regularly in the House of Guests. In addition, there are several rooms on the upper floor that invite you to linger. Young and old can borrow books in the library, for the very young there is a versatile playroom and for those interested in history there is an exhibition on the development of Karlshagen from its foundation to the present day in the tiny museum of local history.

  • There are two designated parking spaces for people with disabilities. 
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps via an elevator. 
  • All doors/passages usable and elevated for the guest are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The counter is 100 cm high. There is another equivalent means of communication in a seated position. 
  • There is a public accessible toilet available, which can be approached from at least one side (minimum 90 cm clearance).
  • Foldable grab rails are provided on both the left and right sides of the toilet.

  • There is no emergency call in the elevator. Alternatively stairs are available.

  • Signage (for orientation) is designed with clearly legible and high-contrast lettering.
  • All raised areas that are usable by the guest are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.    
  • Steps are not visually rich in contrast.
  • Stairs have at least a handrail on one side.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic letters.
