Tourist-Information Tholey (JENS WEGENER)

Accessible Tourist Information Center Provides Information on Attractions Even on Weekends

The municipality of Tholey and the Benedictine Abbey have opened their joint tourist information center in the former nuns’ residence at Römerallee 5 in Tholey.

Visitors can stop by daily—except on Tuesdays—to learn about all of the municipality’s tourist destinations, such as the Benedictine Abbey, the Schaumberg, the Vicus Wareswald, the Hofgut Imsbach, and the Johann-Adams-Mühle, as well as recreational activities like biking and hiking. The entire ground floor of the building, equipped with multimedia resources, is available for this purpose.

The tourist information center also serves as the starting and ending point for sightseeing tours and guided tours of the Benedictine Abbey of Tholey, Germany’s oldest monastery.
