Cable Car "Gärten der Welt – Berlin"

Cable Car "Gärten der Welt – Berlin"

64 cabins, six of them equipped with glass floors, offer a spectacular view of the "Gärten der Welt" as well as the city center of Berlin. The cable car runs for a total length of 1.5 kilometers in an east-west direction. During the IGA Berlin 2017 from 13th April to 15th October 2017, the cable car was used as a tourist attraction and a barrier-free means of transport with over three million journeys. Since the 1st December 2017, it has been back in operation and offers a double benefit: on the one hand as a barrier-free means of transport for visitors to the gardens and the "Wolkenhain" lookout platform and the natural bob run on the Kienberg, and on the other hand as a means of transport between the districts of Marzahn and Hellersdorf with a direct connection to the "Kienberg (Gärten der Welt)" subway station.
