The wortreich in Bad Hersfeld is a world of knowledge and experience for language and communication. On 1,200 m² you can experience fun games, tricky knowledge tests and modern computer stations at over 90 interactive stations: Play basketball with letters, slip into theater roles, move a ball using only the power of your thoughts and much more!

The wortreich in Bad Hersfeld is a leisure and family experience for all ages. Experience language and communication in a creative form! Registered groups receive a free introductory lecture. The wortreich is barrier-free and has been recognized by "Reisen für Alle".

  • There is are six marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 380 cm x 500 cm) in the park house „Schildpark“.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are at ground level or via elevator or a wheelchair lift or a ramp.
  • The ramp has a maximum gradient of 4 % and a total length of 6 m.
  • The platform of the wheelchair lift is 87 cm x 200 cm.
  • The elevator cabin measures 130 cm x 200 cm. The elevator door is 110 cm wide.

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left and right of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.
