Tourist Information Rathausplatz Passau (Stadt Passau)

The Tourist Information of the city of Passau is located on the first floor of the historic city hall tower. Directly in front of it, on the Rathausplatz, there are benches and a restaurant. The premises of the tourist information are barrier-free and accessible via a ramp with ground level information room. All doors are at least 90 cm wide and can be opened by pushbuttons. Assistance dogs are allowed. Not far away is a parking lot and a handicapped accessible toilet (Euro key). In the spacious entrance area guests will find all relevant information about the city. The staff provides advice on the spot, by phone or e-mail and sends info material on request.

  • There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • The building is accessible via a ramp with no steps.
  • The ramp has a maximum gradient of 15%, a width of 160 cm, and a total length of 1.60 m.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are at ground level or accessible via a ramp. Door thresholds are max. 3 cm high.
  • Almost all doors/passages that can be used by guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The counter is 114 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent communication option available while seated.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from both sides (at least 80 cm). There are folding grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
