Tourism, culture and visitor centre at the Weißenburger Tor

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

• There are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities.
• The bus stop "Paradeplatz" is 30 m away.
• The building is accessible without steps.
• All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level.
• All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
• The counter in the tourist information is 119 cm high.
• The exhibits in the exhibition "Germersheimer Geschichte" are predominately visible when seated and the information is predominately readable when seated.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of/behind the door, in front of the WC and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 200 cm;
  to the left and right of the WC at least 90 cm x 70 cm.
• There are fold-up grab rails to the left and right of the WC.
• The washbasin is wheelchair compatible.
• There is an alarm trigger.
