Bürger Museum Wolfenbüttel (Guido Frank)

The Cuba comet, the city model from 1754, "the hunchbacked Friedel" by Wilhelm Busch, a self-made escape trunk from 1944 with wheels: The Bürger Museum, inaugurated in 2017, shows extraordinary and typical exhibits of Wolfenbüttel's city and civic history of the past 500 years at themed islands. For this purpose, the former Jahn gymnasium, which was built in the 19th century as a riding hall and later served as a sports hall for athletics, basketball and boxing events, was converted into a modern museum at the historic site.
