Wingster Waldzoo (Guido Frank)

Located between Stade and Cuxhaven, animals inhabiting the various forests of this world can be discovered at the zoo. These include monkeys from various continents, the brown bear and the European wolf, squirrels and birds, as well as the cute dwarf otters.

Free-roaming animals, a petting zoo and other walk-through facilities invite visitors to experience them first-hand. In the petting zoo, for example, there are junior animal care kits to groom the sheep's fleece or sweep up the goats' and alpacas' droppings.

The free-roaming peacocks, bantam chicken and rabbits are highlights for many families. Dropping crumbs while snacking at the kiosk thus find voluntary takers.

In the spacious second part of the park called "Taiga", the focus is on the predators of the north, like bears and wolves.
