Alm Landau ( Marcel Sponheimer )

ALM Landau - Unique in Germany

In the middle of the Palatinate, in the constantly growing city of Landau, there is a building that is probably unique in Germany. One knows Almhütten from the mountains, there all year round zünftige companies with typically Bavarian bread meals are supplied. At the Munich Oktoberfest or the Cannstatter Wasen, there are often alpine huts to make the fun even cozier.

The "Bavarian hustle and bustle" also almost missed out on moving into romantic Landau, because only flat roofs were allowed at their current location. A typical alpine hut, however, has a saddle roof. However, this did not deter the builders from their project - without further ado, the alpine pasture was enclosed in a large wooden hall. The building authority was satisfied, the builders now had a location that can be used in all weather conditions.

Weddings, birthdays, baptisms, communions, concerts, company celebrations and much more is now possible there all year round. More than 350 people can be seated and the Alm Landau can hold almost 1,000 people standing.
