Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There is a parking space for people with disabilities.
  • The bus stop “Gerolstein, Sandborn” is approx. 200 m away.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are step-free/at ground level or accessible via a ramp or elevator. Exception: the wellness area is only accessible via steps.
  • There are no gradients of more than 6%.
  • All doors/passages and paths that can be used by guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 105 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent communication option available while seated.
  • The toilet in the room is not designed for people with disabilities (toilet cannot be approached from the side, no grab rails, etc.).
  • The sink is not wheelchair accessible. The mirror cannot be seen while standing or sitting. 
  • Access to the shower is step-free (2 cm threshold). There is no grab rail or shower chair.
  • Wheelchair-accessible tables are available in the restaurants (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessibility at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • A wellness area is available. This was surveyed but not included in the evaluation.
  • There is no public toilet designed for people with disabilities.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the restaurants there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).
  • In rooms 7 and 40 (double room) is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • W-LAN is offered.

  • The menu font in the restaurants is not straightforward and visually rich in contrast. There is no menu available in large print or braille.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic font.
