 The Thüringentherme in Mühlhausen is a fun and relaxing water park for visitors of all ages. Covering an area of nearly 8,000 m², visitors can enjoy a spacious swimming area featuring a modern sports and wave pool, a course pool, a baby pool, as well as indoor and outdoor fun pools with numerous attractions. A giant water slide and a 3-meter diving tower add to the excitement.

For relaxation, the fantastic sauna area spans two levels and offers five different saunas.

After swimming or enjoying the sauna, guests can recharge at the “Strandbar”  or the adjoining restaurant “Zur Quelle”, which serves a diverse selection of regional dishes.

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There are four parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  • The Lindenbühl bus stop is 280 m away. 
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are accessible without steps/at ground level or via a ramp or elevator. 
  • All doors/passages and paths that can be used by guests are at least 80 cm wide. Exceptions are the door to the rose sauna and the steam bath.
  • There is a sanitary room for people with disabilities.  
  • The toilet in this room can be accessed from one side (at least 80 cm). There is a folding grab rail on the accessible side of the toilet.  
  • The shower in the sanitary room for people with disabilities is steplessly accessible. There are grab rails in the shower. A shower seat is available.
  • There is a passenger lift to access the therapy pool and teaching pool. 
  • To access the whirlpool and the outdoor pool as well as the water play garden, there is a raised pool edge at seat height above the pool surround. 
  • The other pools can be accessed via flat steps with handrails.
  • A sauna wheelchair is provided. 
  • In the sauna, the manoeuvring spaces in front of the lower bench are 120 cm x 120 cm in some areas. 
  • Wheelchair-compatible tables are available in the catering areas (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm).  
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from one side (at least 80 cm). There is a folding grab rail on the accessible side.

  • The signage (for orientation) is designed in clearly legible and high-contrast lettering.

  • Stairs have a handrail on at least one side.
  • The lettering on the menu is uncluttered and visually rich in contrast.
  • The edges of the basins are visually contrasting.
