The St. Martin catering area is an inclusive operation of the educational and nursing home in Düngenheim. The St. Martin educational and nursing home, an institution of the religious community of the Sisters of the Cross of Strasbourg, was founded in 1848 by Madame Adèle de Glaubitz. The European Province of the community is based in Bingen am Rhein. Today, the social work of the Sisters of the Cross is located in Cameroon, France and southwest Germany.

The Holy Cross Sisters founded the legal entity “St. Hildegardishaus gGmbH, Jugend- und Behindertenhilfe, Düngenheim” in 2000 for their social facilities and services. As a Catholic charitable organization, this legal entity is dedicated to the main tasks of youth and elderly care as well as assistance for people with disabilities at 20 locations in southwest Germany.
