Tourist Information Bitburger Land

Tourist Information Bitburger Land

The Bitburger Land Tourist Information Office is based in the Bitburger Stadthalle building. This is located in the heart of the town of Bitburg. There is a public transport stop in the immediate vicinity, as well as a parking lot for people with disabilities.

The tourist information office offers the rental of Swiss Tracs. These are wheelchair tractors that enable people with limited mobility to explore selected (hiking) trails comfortably and independently.

Bitburg is also known as the city of beer. One of the most important private breweries in Germany has its headquarters here. On a guided tour through the Bitburger Erlebniswelt, visitors learn all about the world of brewing. There are four parking spaces, stepless access and elevators.

Traces of the Romans, who laid the foundations for today's settlement 2,000 years ago, can still be found today - for example in the Roman Villa Otrang near Fließem or on the archaeological trail through the city center, which provides interesting background knowledge about Roman history on information boards and steles.

The surrounding area of the Bitburger Land offers fantastic landscapes, far-reaching views of meadows, forests and fields that invite you to go hiking, cycling or on excursions. In between this enjoyment of nature, there are numerous cultural assets such as Malberg Castle, Rittersdorf Castle or Hamm Castle, which can be visited on a guided tour.

Not to be forgotten is a visit to the Bitburg reservoir in Biersdorf am See.

This popular excursion destination with its five-kilometre circular trail and lakeside promenade is ideal for walking, pedal boating, rowing and paddling.Afterwards, you can relax on the lakeside terrace and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.
