Moselle Region
As regional tourist association the Mosellandtouristik GmbH promotes the tourism region of the Moselle and Saar. It is responsible for marketing, press and public relations concerning the destination.
A big focus lies on the promotion of the regional touristic activities, especially the “Mosel Cycle Path”, Hiking Trails like “Moselsteig”, wine & culinary delights and the cultural project “Street of the Romans”.
The Moselle region in western Germany is one of Europe’s most picturesque river landscapes. The winding River Moselle flows through steep, vineyard-covered hills, creating dramatic views and ideal conditions for wine production, especially Riesling. Small towns such as Cochem, Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Trarbach attract visitors with their half-timbered houses, cozy cafés, and historic charm. One of the most famous landmarks is the Burg Eltz, a medieval castle hidden in the forest above the valley. The nearby city of Trier, Germany’s oldest city, offers impressive Roman heritage sites like the Porta Nigra. Tourists enjoy river cruises, cycling along the Moselle Cycle Route, hiking scenic trails like the Moselsteig, and attending traditional wine festivals throughout the year.
