Munich Airport is yet again basking in the glow of a prestigious award after being voted Europe's Best Airport once more in 2016. The Bavarian hub's renewed success as the top European candidate in the World Airport Awards was announced by the respected London-based aviation research institute Skytrax. This marked the ninth time in 11 years that Munich has earned the number one ranking.
