Certified Green Hotel
The Association of German Travel Management (VRD) awards the certificate to hotels in different European Countries for effective environmental management and socially responsible actions.
The BIO HOTELS association ensures under strict terms of reference the use of 100 % organic foods, beverages, and certified natural cosmetics. In addition all BIO HOTELS are „eco hotels certified“.
ECOCAMPING is a European sustainability management system for environmental and nature protection, safety and quality on camping sites.
The Blaue Schwalbe label since 1989 certifies ecologically-oriented hotels, guesthouses, inns and campsites in Europe and are above all lo¬cated in destinations that can be reached easily without private cars or flying.
In the field of tourism, the official European Union label is awarded to accommodation establishments and campsites. The verification process and assignment is performed by the national partner organisations, e. g. environmental ministries.

Viabono was established in 2000 as an initiative of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and the Federal Environmental Agency. The certificate awards all types of accommodation providers, conference centres, restaurants, holiday packages and vendors as well as canoe rentals, nature parks and local tourism destinations.
