Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.
- There are numerous parking spaces around the Großer Tiergarten.
- There is a map at each entrance to the Tiergarten.
- The paths in the Großer Tiergarten are at least 250 cm wide and mostly easy to walk and drive on.
- There are longitudinal gradients of up to 32% (bridges).
- Some gardens and viewpoints are only accessible via stairs. Alternative paths are usually available.
- A circular tour through the Tiergarten is approximately 10 km long.
- There are sufficient seating areas.
- Information and overview maps. These can be seen and read while seated.
- There are signposts at major intersections.
- There are various playgrounds. However, there is no playground equipment that is accessible and usable for wheelchair users.
- There is a public, barrier-free toilet for people with disabilities at the Brandenburg Gate, which is accessible from both sides (at least 90 cm). Flip-up handrails are available.
- Some road crossings are secured with traffic lights.
