Hotel Rossi is an inclusive hotel where employees with and without disabilities work together as equals to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

In addition to 28 hotel rooms, a 24-hour reception, a first-class restaurant and a modern conference area are at your disposal. Hotel Rossi is an initiative of SOS Children's Village and is located in the Embassy for Children.

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report at the end of the text.

  • Two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities are available on the hotel car park (parking space size: 350 cm x 550 cm, distance to hotel entrance: 40 m).
  • External paths are easy to walk on and drive on due to their surface properties.
  • The entrance without steps and thresholds can be reached via an automatic door (lever handle, light barrier, motion detector).
  • The reception counter is 120 cm high. There is no equivalent communication possibility in a sitting position.
  • All raised areas that can be used by the guest are accessible at ground level or by elevator.
  • The size of the elevator car is 95 cm x 215 cm. Control elements are not arranged on a horizontal control panel (height of control buttons: 105 cm to 125 cm).
  • All raised doors and passages are at least 90 cm wide.
  • In Restaurant Rossi there are wheelchair accessible tables.

Room 501 (double room)

  • The manoeuvring space in the bedroom is 150 cm x 150 cm in front of the main immobile furnishings, 159 cm x 200 cm to the left of the bed and 75 cm x 200 cm to the right.
  • The bed is compatible for a bed lift at a height of 27 cm.
  • In the sanitary room, the manoeuvring space to the left of the toilet is 90 cm x 70 cm, to the right 29 cm x 70 cm and in front of the toilet and washbasin 149 cm x 145 cm.
  • There are handles that can be folded up on both sides of the toilet.
  • The shower area at ground level is 130 cm x 120 cm.
  • A shower seat and horizontal handles are available.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

Room 502 with sanitary room (double room)

  • The manoeuvring space in the bedroom is 150 cm x 150 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings, 75 cm x 200 cm to the left of the bed and 159 cm x 200 cm to the right.
  • The bed is compatible for a bed lift at a height of 27 cm.
  • In the sanitary room, the manoeuvring space is 29 cm x 70 cm to the left of the toilet, 90 cm x 70 cm to the right and 145 cm x 145 cm in front of the toilet and washbasin.
  • There are handles that can be folded up on both sides of the toilet.
  • The shower area at ground level is 130 cm x 120 cm.
  • A shower seat and horizontal handles are available.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

Public toilet for people with disabilities on the 1st upper floor

  • The manoeuvring space is:
    • in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and washbasin 150 cm x 150 cm,
    • to the left and right of the toilet 94 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are handles that can be folded up on both sides of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is present.

Public toilet for people with disabilities on the 5th upper floor

  • The manoeuvring space is:
    • in front of/behind the door 106 cm x 190 cm,
    • in front of the toilet and the washbasin 150 cm x 150 cm,
    • to the left and right of the toilet 94 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are handles that can be folded up on both sides of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is an alarm trigger.

  • There is no visually perceptible alarm.
  • An inductive hearing aid is not present.
  • In the elevator, an outgoing emergency call is confirmed audibly, not optically.
  • In the restaurant, there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps that restrict the field of vision. Sitting areas with low background noises are available.
  • In the rooms surveyed, at least one electrical outlet is available near the bed. Call waiting at the room door is not indicated by a flashing signal.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • A glass door without safety markings is provided at the main entrance. The door opens automatically.
  • The entrance is visually contrasted with its surroundings. 
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font. 
  • An outgoing emergency call is confirmed audibly in the lift. The break position is not announced by speech. Operating elements are tactile, but the signage is not available in Braille. Alternatively, stairs with handrails are available.
  •  The menu font in the restaurant is straightforward and visually rich in contrast. 
  • Rooms and corridors are bright and glare-free.
  • Operating elements are tactilely detectable and usually visually rich in contrast.
  • Signs are designed in easily legible, visually contrasting font, but not available in Braille.

  • The objectives of the routes are within sight or there is an uninterrupted guidance system.
